Our history at a glance.

Almost 30 years of experience in bending tubes – and this is how it went.

1997



1997

Foundation of the company

In April 1997, Hubert Traut founded RS Traut in Wangen im Allgäu. Initially, the focus was on the development and production of tube systems for the aerospace industry. Hubert Traut had previously worked as a test engineer at Daimler AG in Stuttgart and later as program manager at Dornier-Werke, where he was responsible for unmanned reconnaissance equipment across all stages of the value chain.

1998

Automotive and other industries

RS Traut completed its first orders in the automotive sector and expanded into other industries. In many industries, there was and still is a high demand for fast and creative solutions for tube systems. This resulted in promising projects for a specialist at the highest quality level. This was particularly evident in prototype and small series production, which was in demand across all sectors.

2001

Certification according to DIN ISO 9001

The foundations were laid for supplying the automotive industry with series products.

2002

New development of a tube-hose system

This was followed by the first new development of a tubular hose system for aviation, which was transferred to series production after extensive approval testing.

2010

Increase in quantities

The year marked the realization of a high-volume production ramp-up. At the same time, a new production process was established.

Innovation and growth

Due to growing demand, the company moves to Hergensweiler, where production still takes place today.

Increase in complexity requirements

A new level of complexity was reached with the development and production of a tube system for injection lubrication.

Next generation

The future will be handed over to the new shareholder and CEO Michael Berle, who previously held the role of COO for several years. The company establishes an advisory board which, in sparring with Michael Berle, defines RS Traut’s strategy and actively supports him in its operational implementation.
